Marshall Bromley 150 ranking card

Pros: The smallest and lightest Bromley at 6.3kg, with a carry handle, a 6.5-inch woofer, two 2-inch full-range drivers and a passive radiator driven by 200W of amplification, rated at 97dB. A removable LiFePO4 battery is rated for 40+ hours, recharges in about 3 hours and can be swapped for a spare. Two XLR/6.35mm combo inputs each have their own volume and effects controls for microphones or instruments, and it adds IP55 dust and water resistance, Auracast, Bluetooth 5.3 with AAC and LC3, a USB-C power bank output and built-in stage lighting.

Cons: Newly announced and not yet reviewed, so its sound can’t be compared with ranked party speakers. Marshall rates it at 97dB, well short of its bigger Bromley siblings, and at $499.99 it costs as much as some larger party speakers with more output.

Pros: Much wider, more consistent off-axis dispersion than the JBL Partybox 720, which only fires forward: the Marshall’s standout feature, sounding about the same from any angle.

Cons: Not as deep bass as the JBL Partybox 330 or JBL Partybox 720. Not a great frequency response overall, with some midrange peaks. Only basic bass/treble controls, no full custom EQ like the JBL Partybox 720’s app. Default bass (dynamic mode) is overdone out of the box and needs trimming.
