#69 Dayton Audio SUB-1200: $180 Discontinued eBay
Newer model: the Dayton Audio CS1200, ranked higher, rated 4.1/5, released Dec 2025. See every Dayton Audio Subwoofers generation.
Same family: the Dayton Audio SUB-1000L (smaller subwoofer, rated 3.4/5) and the Dayton Audio SUB-1500 (larger subwoofer, ranked lower, rated 3.6/5).
Pros: A very affordable ported 12 inch subwoofer with solid output, an adjustable crossover and speaker level connections, now discontinued. A ported 12-inch long-throw subwoofer with a 120W amplifier and a strong 115.1 dB CEA-2010 average from 40 to 80Hz. Construction is impeccable inside and out. It is tight and controlled like a sealed sub yet digs deep like a ported one. A continuously variable 40 to 140Hz crossover and high-level inputs and outputs make setup easy. Great bang for the buck at $180.
Cons: Rolls off earlier in the low bass than the Infinity and Jamo 12-inch subs it was measured against, so it lacks their depth. The vinyl wrap was already peeling at the bottom edge on the reviewed unit. Discontinued.
