Pros: A huge 15 inch ported subwoofer at a budget price, meant to fill a large room, now discontinued. It pairs a 15-inch driver with dual ports and a 150W RMS amplifier at $260. Measured output averages 111.2dB from 40 to 80Hz and peaks at 114.0dB at 63Hz, enough to fill a large room at moderate levels. Setup is simple, with a rated response of 23 to 140Hz.
Cons: Output falls off in the deepest octave, dropping to 96.5dB at 25Hz and 90.2dB at 20Hz, so the lowest movie effects will be faint. The cabinet is large at 501.6H x 488.9W x 501.6D mm and weighs 27.2 kg. It is discontinued, so it can only be bought used or from leftover stock, and the 150W amplifier limits how loud it can play.
