#25 Samsung HW-B400F: $137.99 Amazon $137.99 eBay

Pros: The HW-B400F has a fairly flat, even tuning that keeps voices natural, and in The Hook Up’s budget shootout it placed ahead of the Amazon Fire TV Soundbar, Roku Streambar SE and Sony HT-S100F. It is compact and works simply with a TV over HDMI ARC or optical.

Cons: There is no real bass below about 70 Hz, so movies lack impact, and budget bars with a subwoofer such as the Saiyin SBP sound much fuller. The Hook Up judged it acceptable rather than good. It has no Atmos, no eARC and no Wi-Fi.
