W-King T11 vs Onn Large Party gen 1

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Different classes, so treat this as a step-up-or-not question rather than a head-to-head. The W-King T11 ranks #50 of 91 boombox speakers by sound quality at $150; the Onn Large Party gen 1 ranks #34 of 46 party speakers by sound quality at $100.

W-King T11 vs Onn Large Party gen 1

The W-King T11 is the deeper-bass, lighter choice. A capable, weather-resistant party speaker with dual 5.25-inch woofers, a measured -10dB bass point around 43Hz, 112dB maximum output, mic/karaoke input, USB/microSD playback, TWS pairing and low-latency aux. Its bass reaches about 43Hz before falling 10dB, against 60Hz for the Onn Large Party gen 1. At 11.2 lbs (5.1 kg) it weighs much less than the Onn Large Party gen 1 at 23.1 lbs (10.5 kg). It is rated IPX6, while the Onn Large Party gen 1 has no water resistance. The tradeoff: The tuning can sound hollow through the mids, so deep bass does not always translate to natural vocals or instruments.

What the Onn Large Party gen 1 does well: A genuinely useful feature set for a compact party speaker: FM radio, 3.5mm aux, USB-A phone charging, a mic/guitar input, lights, and Party Sync pairing. It links with other speakers (Party Sync Mode), which the W-King T11 cannot. The catch: Sound is not a strong reason to seek one out.

Worth knowing: the Onn Large Party gen 1 has been discontinued and is hard to find new at this point. The Onn Large Party gen 1’s replacement, the Onn Large Party gen 2, is still sold new.

Buy the W-King T11 ($150) for a boombox speaker; the Onn Large Party gen 1 ($100) suits a party speaker instead.

Pros: A capable, weather-resistant party speaker with dual 5.25-inch woofers, a measured -10dB bass point around 43Hz, 112dB maximum output, mic/karaoke input, USB/microSD playback, TWS pairing and low-latency aux. Its deep bass and 5.1kg size make it a strong option when punch and portability matter more than audiophile refinement. Measured bass extension of 43Hz (-10dB).

Cons: The tuning can sound hollow through the mids, so deep bass does not always translate to natural vocals or instruments. There is no app-based fine EQ, battery life is only a claimed 10 hours, and the external power brick is less convenient than USB-C charging.

Onn Large Party gen 1 ranking card

Newer model: the Onn Large Party gen 2, ranked higher, rated 3.9/5, released May 2023. It drops stereo pairing. Water resistance goes from no IP rating to IPX4. See every Onn Large Party generation.

Pros: A genuinely useful feature set for a compact party speaker: FM radio, 3.5mm aux, USB-A phone charging, a mic/guitar input, lights, and Party Sync pairing. Its rolling 10.5kg cabinet, carry handle and claimed 13-hour battery make it easy to take to casual outdoor gatherings, and it can play louder than a typical small Bluetooth speaker. Measured bass extension of ~60Hz (-10dB).

Cons: Sound is not a strong reason to seek one out. Reviewer comparisons find limited deep bass (about 60Hz at -10dB), uneven mids and a boxy, strained presentation at high volume. It has no app or EQ, no water rating, and is discontinued; the newer Onn Large Party gen 2 is the more sensible choice when available.
