Short answer: the Electro-Voice Everse 12 for extreme loudness, the Turtlebox Grande for battery life. The Everse 12 is the best sounding extremely loud speaker available, with high efficiency drivers that reach 2 to 3x the volume of typical speakers for the same wattage, though it is not stereo. The Grande has a 10-inch woofer, an IP67 shell and a 158Wh battery, but its claimed 126dB does not hold up and only 100w will not hit it at 1 meter.
Buy the Turtlebox Grande ($730) for a boombox speaker; the Electro-Voice Everse 12 ($1,099) suits a battery-powered PA speaker instead.
If battery life is a priority, the Turtlebox Grande is rated for 25 hours versus 12 hours for the Electro-Voice Everse 12.
Water resistance is not close: the Turtlebox Grande is rated at IP67 (brief submersion), well ahead of the Electro-Voice Everse 12 at IP43 (light spray).
