Tribit Stormbox Flow vs DBSONO X-Blast F37

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Short answer: the Tribit Stormbox Flow. It ranks #61 of 166 medium speakers by sound quality, rated 3.5/5, at $79.99. The DBSONO X-Blast F37 ranks #114, rated 2.8/5, at $69.99, $10 cheaper, which does not close the gap in sound quality.

Tribit Stormbox Flow vs DBSONO X-Blast F37

The Tribit Stormbox Flow is the better-sounding, longer-running option. Up to 30 hours of battery life: roughly double most rivals (~20-24 hrs with XBass on). It is rated for 30 hours of battery against 8 for the DBSONO X-Blast F37. It is rated IPX7 against IPX5 for the DBSONO X-Blast F37. The catch: Midrange and bass are weirdly recessed about 4db below 700Hz.

Why pick the DBSONO X-Blast F37: 25W woofer + 10W tweeter + rear passive radiator. The catch: Very recessed lower mids, peaky upper mids, just not a great frequency response overall.

Buy the Tribit Stormbox Flow. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the $10 saving on the DBSONO X-Blast F37 is not enough to make up the difference.

Same family: the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 (smaller model, rated 4.5/5), the Tribit Stormbox Pro (larger model, ranked higher, rated 3.7/5) and the Tribit Stormbox Blast (larger model, rated 4.5/5). See every Tribit Stormbox generation.

Pros: Up to 30 hours of battery life: roughly double most rivals (~20-24 hrs with XBass on). IP67 rated with a loose handle for carrying/hanging. Pairs with a second Flow for stereo; USB-C port charges your phone too. Measured bass extension of 47Hz (-10dB).

Cons: Not stereo. Midrange and bass are weirdly recessed about 4db below 700Hz. You need xbass mode for it to not sound like a clock radio with missing bass. You also can’t turn up the bass enough in the custom EQ modes to get it neutral, so it will sound bass light. Firmware 1.2.3 fixes the distortion issues with xbass mode on, but bass still sounds wobbly and uncontrolled.
