Portability isn’t close. The Charge 6 weighs 2.2 lbs (990 g) against the Boom 2 Plus’s 8.4 lbs (3.8 kg), a boombox-format speaker with handle-carry in mind rather than a bag. The Boom 2 Plus’s own pros acknowledge this tradeoff, noting it is quite a bit lighter than most other boombox size speakers, which is a relative win within its own size class rather than against something like the Charge 6.
Tuning goes to the Charge 6, on balance.
