Short answer: the Motion 300 is the better-measuring speaker at less than half the price. The Charge 6 is the better product. Both of those are true and the choice is about which you are shopping for.
On measurements it is not close. The Motion 300 ranks #2 in a 142-speaker class; the Charge 6 ranks #11. The Motion 300 also reaches deeper, 50 Hz against 53 Hz, from a lighter cabinet, and supports LDAC where JBL offers only SBC and AAC.
Both need their EQ. The Motion 300’s stock tuning is heavily rolled off in the treble; without EQ it would rank around #50 rather than #2. The Charge 6 is V-shaped with recessed mids by default. Neither is a speaker you buy and leave alone, and both have app EQ that fixes it. If you will never open an app, the gap narrows considerably.
Where the Charge 6 earns its price: IP68 against IPX7, 24 hours of battery against 13, a power bank output, Auracast pairing that works with the rest of the JBL range, and considerably more output for outdoor use. It is also the more robust object.
Buy the Motion 300 if sound per dollar is the priority, you listen mostly indoors or at moderate volume, and you will load an EQ preset.
Buy the Charge 6 if you want the longer battery, the tougher shell, more volume outdoors, or you already own JBL speakers you want it to pair with.

Pros: Seems more neutral than the Charge 5. Flatter frequency response through the mids and treble as the Charge 5 was quite rolled off up high. Use this EQ from Joy/Oluv and turn down the lowest bass slider for the best sound quality. Oluv has even more paid EQs specifically for the GG and TL models indoors and outdoors here. Measured bass extension of 53Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Still some boosted bass by default. Mids are recessed. Bright above 2kHz. Quite a V shaped frequency response.

Soundcore Motion 300: $79.99 Amazon eBay
Pros: Pretty deep bass for the small size. Pocket size in a big pocket. Can be used in stereo facing you, or omnidirectional lying down. Ability to have a custom EQ for each orientation, standing, lying flat, hanging. Try the Uboom L EQs from Oluv for a more neutral sound. Measured bass extension of 50Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Without the above EQ or turning the top 2 treble EQ bars to max, this speaker is very rolled off in the treble and will rank around #50 in the rankings. Bassup mode is worse than Signature. Not quite as detailed or neutral as higher ranked speakers. Slight bass distortion when turned up.
