Short answer: the Arturia MiniFuse 2. It ranks #11 of 17 audio interfaces by measured performance, rated 3.3/5, at $199. The Tascam Series 102i ranks #12, rated 2.9/5, at $149, $50 cheaper, which does not close the gap in measured performance.
The Arturia MiniFuse 2 is the better-sounding choice. Audio Science Review measured 101 dB SINAD, clean for nearly all listening. Watch for: Audio Science Review found it performs a little behind a well known rival at the same price and only marginally recommended it on cost.
Why pick the Tascam Series 102i: Audio Science Review measured 103 dB SINAD from its line outputs, clean for nearly all listening. The tradeoff: Its headphone output is rated at only 18 mW, enough for in ear monitors and easy headphones only, and Audio Science Review judged it poor with a high output impedance.
Buy the Arturia MiniFuse 2. It is rated higher, and the $50 saving on the Tascam Series 102i is not enough to make up the difference.
