Newer model: the SVS SB-5000 R-Evolution, ranked lower, estimated 4.2/5, released May 2025. See every SVS subwoofers generation.
Same family: the SVS PB-1000 (smaller subwoofer, rated 3.6/5), the SVS PB-2000 (smaller subwoofer, rated 4.1/5), the SVS PB-3000 (smaller subwoofer, ranked higher, rated 4.2/5), the SVS PB-4000 (smaller subwoofer, ranked higher, rated 4.2/5), the SVS SB-1000 (smaller subwoofer, rated 3.9/5), the SVS SB-2000 (smaller subwoofer, rated 3.9/5), the SVS SB-3000 (smaller subwoofer, rated 4.1/5) and the SVS PC-2000 (larger subwoofer, rated 3.7/5).
Pros: A sealed 13.5 inch subwoofer with punchy, tight upper bass in a compact cabinet for movies and music. Independent CEA-2010 testing records 98.5 dB at 20 Hz and 120.1 dB (avg of 3/4 bands) through 40-80 Hz. The sealed enclosure with 13.5” (343mm) driver delivers formidable upper-bass output for movie effects and music.
Cons: Deep-bass output is more limited than the strong 40-80 Hz result suggests, so it is not the right choice when the lowest movie effects are the priority. The 464.8H x 452.1W x 472.4D mm cabinet and 46.4 kg mass still require deliberate placement and calibration. Discontinued.
