#47 PSB Speakers SubSeries 100: $299 eBay

Pros: Independent CEA-2010 testing records 78.1 dB at 20 Hz and 99.2 dB (avg of 3/4 bands) through 40-80 Hz. The sealed enclosure with 5.25” (133mm) driver is best suited to upper-bass support in a modest room.

Cons: Deep-bass output is limited relative to its midbass result, so it is not the right choice for the lowest movie effects. The 161.8H x 161.8W x 199.9D mm cabinet and 2.7 kg mass still need deliberate placement and calibration.

Related speakers: PSB Speakers SubSeries 200, PSB Speakers SubSeries 250, PSB Speakers SubSeries 450.

How it compares: Just above it: Axiom Audio EP400 v3 - $300 more. Just below it: REL Acoustics Tzero MKIII - $300 more, 10dB less max output.
