Same family: the BIC America PL-200II (smaller subwoofer, ranked lower, rated 3.6/5).
Pros: An affordable ported 12 inch subwoofer with three ports, adjustable tuning and a strong amplifier. The 12 inch driver is powered by a 350W RMS amplifier and is rated down to 15Hz. Measured output is 96.6dB at 20Hz and 113.7dB on average from 40 to 80Hz, which is strong for the price. The three-port design with adjustable tuning lets you trade extension against output.
Cons: At 21.8kg and 457 x 387 x 476mm it is a large, heavy cabinet that needs floor space. Output falls to 96.6dB at 20Hz and 102.8dB at 25Hz, so the very deepest movie effects are quieter. Its rating is below 3.8, and the specs list no app or room correction, so setup is manual.
