Same family: the BIC America PL-300 (larger subwoofer, ranked higher, rated 3.7/5).
Pros: A 12 inch dual port subwoofer with simple crossover and volume controls and an unusually long warranty. Its 250W RMS amplifier averages 111.2dB from 40 to 80Hz and is rated to 21Hz, which is plenty for music and movies in a medium room. Variable crossover and volume controls keep setup simple. The warranty covers the driver for 8 years and the amplifier for 5.
Cons: Output falls off in the deepest octave, dropping to 99.2dB at 25Hz and 87.0dB at 20Hz, so it will not rumble in a large room. At 20.9kg and 438mm tall with a deep cabinet, it takes up real floor space. It has no app and no room correction, so tuning is limited to the knobs.
