The Muo gen2’s notes describe real, unresolved bass problems. They say it seems to have fixed the previous model’s rolled-off treble and overall balance, but the bass is very thuddy, distorts as volume increases, and the claimed 43Hz extension is really only audible at low listening volumes, with a few seconds of lag after volume changes and most of the bass lost off-axis. The notes also observe it appears to be the exact same hardware as its predecessor with updated tuning, and that customer reviews are mixed, from praise for low-volume detail to complaints of a boxy, hollow sound.
The Beosound A1’s issues are narrower in scope. Its notes call out deeper bass than its own A1 2nd gen successor as a pro, with cons limited to not being stereo, being not quite as neutral as the 2nd gen, and pumping sound artifacts above 60% volume that cap it to lower listening levels.
