The Motion 300 packs pretty deep bass for its pocket size and can run stereo facing you or omnidirectional lying down, but its treble is very rolled off without its EQ. The A1 has deeper bass than the A1 2nd gen, yet it is not stereo and shows pumping sound artifacts above 60% volume.
Buy the Soundcore Motion 300. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the B&O Beosound A1 is discontinued, so it is only available used.
If battery life is a priority, the B&O Beosound A1 is rated for 24 hours versus 13 hours for the Soundcore Motion 300.

Older model: the Soundcore Motion+ (ranked lower, rated 4.4/5).
Pros: Pretty deep bass for the small size. Pocket size in a big pocket. Can be used in stereo facing you, or omnidirectional lying down. Ability to have a custom EQ for each orientation, standing, lying flat, hanging. Try the Uboom L EQs from Oluv for a more neutral sound. Measured bass extension of 50Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Without the above EQ or turning the top 2 treble EQ bars to max, this speaker is very rolled off in the treble and will rank around #50 in the rankings. Bassup mode is worse than Signature. Not quite as detailed or neutral as higher ranked speakers. Slight bass distortion when turned up.
