#83 SVS PB13-Ultra: $1,999 Discontinued eBay
Newer model: the SVS PB17-Ultra R-Evolution, ranked lower, rated 4.1/5, released Jan 2025. See every SVS PB Ultra generation.
Pros: A 13.5 inch ported subwoofer with deep, strong bass for large home theaters and flexible inputs, a solid used pick. Independent CEA-2010 testing records 113.6 dB at 20 Hz and 119.8 dB through 40-80 Hz. The ported, front enclosure with 13.5” (343mm) driver with ported design has the headroom for demanding film bass in a large room.
Cons: The 571.5H x 520.7W x 711.2D mm cabinet and 70.3 kg mass make this a serious placement and moving commitment. Ported output does not solve room modes, so careful placement and calibration remain essential. Discontinued.
