Brand: Harbottle Audio
#93 Harbottle Audio C18 L1: $5,331.56 eBay
Same family: the Harbottle Audio C24 L1 (larger subwoofer, ranked higher, rated 4.2/5) and the Harbottle Audio C24 L2 (larger subwoofer, ranked higher, rated 4.4/5).
Pros: A ported 18 inch subwoofer with big, deep output for demanding movie soundtracks in a large room. Published CEA-2010 specifications list 108.0 dB at 20 Hz and 118.5 dB through 40-80 Hz. The ported enclosure with 18” (457mm) driver has the headroom for demanding film bass in a large room.
Cons: The 670.1H x 578.1W x 460.0D mm cabinet and 39.0 kg mass make this a serious placement and moving commitment. Ported output does not solve room modes, so careful placement and calibration remain essential.
