#60 Gallo Acoustics TR-1: $399 Discontinued eBay
Newer model: the Gallo Acoustics TR-1D, ranked higher, estimated 3/5, released 2012 (also discontinued). See every Gallo Acoustics TR-1 generation.
Pros: A sealed 10 inch subwoofer that fills in upper bass behind smaller speakers in a modest room. Independent CEA-2010 testing records 86.4 dB at 20 Hz and 102.1 dB through 40-80 Hz. The sealed enclosure with 10” (254mm) driver is best suited to upper-bass support in a modest room.
Cons: Deep-bass output is limited relative to its midbass result, so it is not the right choice for the lowest movie effects. The 304.8H x 273.1W x 342.9D mm cabinet and 11.8 kg mass still need deliberate placement and calibration. Discontinued.
