#129 Cadence Sound CSX-15 MKII: $1,699 Discontinued eBay
Same family: the Cadence Sound CSX-12 Mark II (smaller subwoofer, rated 3.8/5).
Pros: A front ported 15 inch subwoofer aimed at upper bass punch for movie effects and music, now discontinued. Independent CEA-2010 testing records 86.8 dB at 20 Hz and 113.9 dB through 40-80 Hz. The ported, front enclosure with 15” (381mm) driver delivers substantial upper-bass output for movie effects and music.
Cons: Deep-bass output is more limited than the strong 40-80 Hz result suggests, so it is not the right choice when the lowest movie effects are the priority. The 546.1H x 482.6W x 457.2D mm cabinet and 39.9 kg mass still require deliberate placement and calibration. Discontinued.
