#163 BIC America F-12: $299.00 Amazon $299.00 eBay

Pros: A budget 12 inch ported subwoofer with a long warranty for basic home theater bass. 12” woofer with 475W peak power, reaches 116dB. Ported enclosure with low distortion. 150W RMS with high SNR. Performs like subs costing twice as much. Backed by 5-year warranty.

Cons: Internal cabinet resonances show up around 50 to 60Hz, and its frequency response was less linear than the better 12-inch budget subs tested alongside it. The foam surround and rough cone edge look cheap, so the reviewer would not recommend it.
