Pros: The bar and its wireless sub throw a broad, well-defined soundstage for movies, and Expert Reviews praised how articulate the sub sounds. Andrew Robinson found dialogue clearer than Polk’s larger Max bar. Height drivers, Alexa, AirPlay 2 and HDMI passthrough are included, and Yamaha’s battery surrounds can be added later.

Cons: Overhead effects are modest, and music sounds flat compared with movie playback. Andrew Robinson still preferred Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar for voice clarity. There is no DTS:X, and Yamaha has stopped making it, so remaining stock is clearance.
