#23 TCL S45H: $99.99 Amazon $99.99 eBay
Pros: In The Hook Up’s 2026 budget shootout the S45H was the pick for buyers who want a single bar with no subwoofer, with clear voices and bright, energetic detail. It decodes Atmos over HDMI eARC, and it also has optical, aux and Bluetooth. The TCL Home app adds EQ adjustments.
Cons: Bass rolls off early, so explosions and music lack depth, and budget systems with a subwoofer like the Infitbo D40CS sounded fuller. Its virtual surround and height effects are weak. The room calibration feature made little audible difference.
