Pros: A 7.1.4 system whose battery-powered surround speakers detach from the bar ends, so you get real rear effects only when you want them. Up-firing drivers in the bar and surrounds add height, and the 10 inch sub gives movies a bold, punchy sound. Three HDMI inputs, Wi-Fi streaming and room calibration make it flexible.
Cons: It lacks finesse, with bass that can sound imprecise and surrounds that play too quietly. Dialogue and music are less refined than on Samsung HW-Q990F. The battery rears need recharging between movie sessions.
