Short answer: the Soundcore Boom 2. It ranks #10 of 77 large speakers by sound quality at $89.99; the LG Xboom Bounce ranks #30 and costs $119.99, so there is not much of a tradeoff to weigh.
The case for the Soundcore Boom 2: pretty deep bass for the size, with cool lighting in the side passive radiators - EQ’d with Oluv’s or Alan Ross’s settings it would rank far higher than its boosted stock tuning suggests. The catch: only a single midrange driver (so just the tweeters are true stereo), inconsistent bass at low listening levels, and a bright treble tuning around +5dB.
What the LG Xboom Bounce gets right: a distinctive spherical design, up to 30 hours of battery at 50% volume, IP67 plus MIL-STD-810H certification, multipoint pairing to two devices, and LED lighting. Set against that: bass extension that isn’t as deep as the top speakers in the class, and it’s overpriced for what it delivers.
Buy the Soundcore Boom 2. It ranks higher for sound quality than the LG Xboom Bounce and costs less, so there is no real case for the other one.

The Two Speakers In Full
Soundcore Boom 2: $89.99 Amazon Bhphotovideo
Pros: Pretty deep bass for the size. Cool lights in the side passive radiators. For the best sound quality use Oluv’s EQ or Alan Ross’s EQ. With the stock tuning, this speaker would rank around #24, due to the boosted bass and rising treble.
Cons: Only a single midrange driver, so you only get stereo for the tweeters. Sound processing issues with inconsistent bass notes that disappear at low levels like the Soundcore Boom and Soundcore Boost, not great for listening at low levels. Quite bass heavy with BassUp turned on, I’d recommend turning it off. A little bit of a bright tuning in the treble, about +5db.
