What the Reaction Audio PV-15X does well: A passive 15 inch ported subwoofer in a cinema style cabinet with strong output for home theater use, now discontinued. Watch for: Passive design requires a separate external amplifier and weighs 149.9 lbs (68 kg).
What the JBL 4645C does well: A pro cinema 18 inch ported subwoofer with very strong upper bass punch, suited to adding impact in a modest room. The tradeoff: Deep-bass output is limited relative to its midbass result, so it is not the right choice for the lowest movie effects.
Buy the Reaction Audio PV-15X or the JBL 4645C, whichever you find used in better condition; both are discontinued. For a new speaker, start with the JTR Speakers Orbit Shifter PRO instead.
