RCF ART 932-A vs RCF NX 932-A

Last updated: September 7, 2026

Short answer: the ART 932-A unless you need the NX’s wider coverage or plywood build. These sibling RCF boxes rank #7 and #8 out of 37 12-inch powered PA speakers, priced at $1399 and $1999, a $600 difference.

The ART 932-A is the lighter, more affordable of the two. A large 3-inch compression-driver voice coil, broad 100° x 60° coverage and 132dB claimed maximum output make it attractive for clear vocals and live mains, backed by RCF’s FiRPHASE and Bass Motion Control processing. Its own cons note the local low-quality vendor data doesn’t currently produce a preference score, so measurement confidence trails the QSC, JBL and scored FBT models in this class, and its controls lack the app and deep user DSP of rivals like the JBL PRX912.

The NX 932-A swaps the composite cabinet for plywood and widens coverage. It uses a 3-inch titanium compression-driver diaphragm with a 100° x 70° coverage pattern, versus the ART’s 100° x 60°, and its plywood cabinet is aimed at especially demanding vocal-clarity duty over wide areas. The medium-quality Spinorama measurement is also truncated and cannot generate a preference score, so its position relies partly on response and directivity curves. At 22.9kg it’s significantly heavier than the ART 932-A, and it costs more.

Buy the ART 932-A for the lighter, less expensive option with essentially the same 3-inch driver and output claim.

Buy the NX 932-A if the wider 100° x 70° pattern and plywood cabinet construction justify the added weight and price.

Pros: A large 3-inch compression-driver voice coil, broad 100° x 60° coverage and 132dB claimed maximum output make it attractive for clear vocals and live mains. RCF’s FiRPHASE and Bass Motion Control processing target phase consistency and useful low-frequency headroom.

Cons: The local low-quality vendor data does not currently produce a preference score, so this position has lower measurement confidence than the QSC, JBL and scored FBT models. Its streamlined controls lack the app and deep user DSP of the JBL PRX912.

Pros: A 3-inch titanium compression-driver diaphragm, 100° x 70° coverage and plywood cabinet make it especially capable for clear vocals over wide areas. The 2100W amplifier, advanced RCF processing and 132dB peak claim support serious main-speaker use.

Cons: The medium-quality Spinorama measurement is truncated and cannot generate a preference score, so its high position relies partly on response/directivity curves and published engineering. At 22.9kg it is significantly heavier than the ART 932-A.
