Short answer: the Minirig Mini for neutrality, the Tribit Stormbox Micro 3 for a little more bass. The Mini is very neutral but calls itself splash resistant with no official water rating, and it costs $43.24 more. The Micro 3 digs a little deeper than the previous model, yet its bass is thuddy and distorted by default and needs an EQ.
Buy the Minirig Mini 2, the replacement for the discontinued Minirig Mini; it is rated higher for sound quality than the Tribit Stormbox Micro 3.
Battery life favors the Tribit Stormbox Micro 3: rated for 24 hours against 10 hours for the Minirig Mini.
Water resistance is not close: the Tribit Stormbox Micro 3 is rated at IP68 (extended submersion), well ahead of the Minirig Mini at Splash resistant (splashing).
