Short answer: the Soundcore Boom Go 3i for waterproofing, the Minirig Mini for balance. The Mini is very neutral, but it calls itself splash resistant with no official water rating. The Boom Go 3i is IP68 rated for full submersion and dustproofing and costs $40.02 less, though it sounds a bit piercing and metallic. The Minirig Mini is discontinued; its replacement is the Minirig Mini 2.
Buy the Soundcore Boom Go 3i. It is rated higher for sound quality and still sold new, while the Minirig Mini is discontinued.
If battery life is a priority, the Soundcore Boom Go 3i is rated for 24 hours versus 10 hours for the Minirig Mini.
