Short answer: the Devialet Mania if sound quality matters most, the Marshall Stockwell III if price matters most. The Devialet Mania ranks #52 of 115 large speakers, rated 3.6/5, at $899. The Marshall Stockwell III ranks #79, rated 3.0/5, at $249.99, $649.01 cheaper.
The Marshall Stockwell III is the longer-running, lighter option. A stylish, rugged speaker with a very long battery you can swap yourself, a detailed app EQ, and power bank charging. It is rated for 40 hours of battery against 10 for the Devialet Mania. At 2.9 lbs (1.3 kg) it weighs much less than the Devialet Mania at 5.1 lbs (2.3 kg). It supports AAC Bluetooth, which the Devialet Mania lacks. The catch: Highs are recessed by default and need the treble control maxed to compensate, still lacking detail even then.
The Devialet Mania is the better-sounding pick. A compact, good looking Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stereo speaker with Alexa built in and splash resistance. Watch for: Not very loud.
Buy the Marshall Stockwell III when the price outweighs sound quality for you, and the Devialet Mania when sound quality outweighs the price instead.
