Devialet Mania vs Vifa Helsinki

Last updated: September 16, 2026

Short answer: the Vifa Helsinki. It ranks #1 of 78 large speakers by sound quality at $449; the Devialet Mania ranks #40 and costs $899, which makes this an easy call rather than a real tradeoff.

Devialet Mania vs Vifa Helsinki

What the Devialet Mania offers: Small, nice looking. Watch for: Not very loud. Extremely high price. Bass boosted. Tweeters are not aimed at you and there’s a huge treble rolloff off-axis as compared to the Beoplay P6 in the comparison video. Only 10 hours of battery. Oluv didn’t like the upper mids or treble (mentioned on his Patreon)

What the Vifa Helsinki offers: Generally regarded as the best midrange and treble sound quality of any battery powered Bluetooth speaker. Watch for: No TWS pairing, looks like a purse, requires a hacked Vifa app (Android only post #48) to enable night mode to sound good. Not sure I can recommend this one generally these days, the Uboom L has 98% of the sound quality with more features and a way cheaper price. There are mentions that the 2022 “new” version of this speaker doesn’t sound as good as Vifa was purchased by a Chinese company and laid off all the great sound engineers in the Austria office.

Buy the Vifa Helsinki. It ranks higher for sound quality than the Devialet Mania and costs less, so the other one has nothing left to offer.

There is a real gap in water resistance: the Devialet Mania at IPX4 (splashing) against the Vifa Helsinki, which has no water resistance.
