Short answer: the JBL Charge 6 for better sound quality, the Soundcore Boom 3i for the lower price. The JBL Charge 6 ranks #11 of 135 medium speakers at $199.95. The Soundcore Boom 3i ranks #27 at $110, $89.95 cheaper.
The case for the JBL Charge 6: seems more neutral than the Charge 5, with a flatter response through the mids and treble than that rolled-off predecessor. The catch: still some boosted bass by default, recessed mids, brightness above 2kHz, and an overall V-shaped response.
What the Soundcore Boom 3i gets right: it looks like a direct answer to the Charge 5, with a similar warm, bass-forward sound profile at better value. Set against that: it doesn’t quite match the Charge 5 for loudness or balance (though it comes close), and an early firmware version had some bass distortion - worth updating in the Soundcore App.
Buy the JBL Charge 6 if sound quality matters more than the price. Buy the Soundcore Boom 3i if the price matters more than sound quality.
If battery life is a priority, the JBL Charge 6 is rated for 24 hours versus 16 hours for the Soundcore Boom 3i.

JBL Charge 6: $199.95 Amazon Bhphotovideo
Pros: Seems more neutral than the Charge 5. Flatter frequency response through the mids and treble as the Charge 5 was quite rolled off up high. Use this EQ from Joy/Oluv and turn down the lowest bass slider for the best sound quality. Oluv has even more paid EQs specifically for the GG and TL models indoors and outdoors here
Cons: Still some boosted bass by default. Mids are recessed. Bright above 2khz. Quite a V shaped frequency response.

Soundcore Boom 3i: $110 Amazon Bhphotovideo
Pros: Looks to be designed as a direct competitor to the Charge 5 with a very similar sound profile, warm tuned with boosted bass. Better value for the money than the Charge 5.
Cons: Not quite as good as a Charge 5, doesn’t go quite as loud or sound quite as balanced, but very very close. An earlier firmware version had some bass distortion, update your firmware in the Soundcore App
