Short answer: the Charge 6 if sound quality is the priority, the Pill 2024 if the price is. These rank #12 and #79 of 164 medium speakers, and $50 separates them.
The core difference is tunability, not just tuning. The Pill 2024’s cons describe boosted upper bass that runs somewhat thuddy, slightly recessed mids, and rolled off treble, and it has no EQ at all to correct any of that. The Charge 6 has its own tuning quirks too, still some boosted bass by default, recessed mids, and a bit of brightness above 2kHz, but it ships with a 7 band EQ, and our notes point to a specific EQ profile from Joy/Oluv that fixes most of it by turning down the lowest bass slider. A speaker you can correct with EQ is a different proposition than one you cannot.
Everything else is close: both use SBC and AAC codecs, both have digital USB-C aux input, and both sit in a similar IP65-class water resistance tier, IP68 for the Charge 6 against IP67 for the Pill 2024.
Buy the Charge 6 if sound quality matters most to you and you are willing to spend $50 more for a speaker you can EQ into shape.
Buy the Pill 2024 if the price matters most, or if you specifically want the built-in microphone and USB-C power bank quick charging.

Pros: Seems more neutral than the Charge 5. Flatter frequency response through the mids and treble as the Charge 5 was quite rolled off up high. Use this EQ from Joy/Oluv and turn down the lowest bass slider for the best sound quality. Oluv has even more paid EQs specifically for the GG and TL models indoors and outdoors here. IP68 protection, a 7-band app EQ, Auracast, USB-C charging and a power bank output. Measured bass extension of 53Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Still some boosted bass by default. Mids are recessed. Bright above 2kHz. Quite a V shaped frequency response.
