The Everse 12 is built as pro-audio gear that happens to be portable, not a typical party speaker. Its notes call it the best-sounding extremely loud speaker available, with good midrange and treble and high-efficiency drivers that reach two to three times the volume of typical speakers for the same wattage. It backs that up with a 12-inch woofer and compression driver rated at 400W, an XLR input for real microphones or instruments, and a 126dB max volume. The tradeoff is that it’s designed for loudness over deep bass and doesn’t offer stereo output at all.
The Club 120 delivers more balanced everyday sound for far less money. Its own notes point to limited deep-bass reach for its cabinet size as the main weakness, but otherwise it’s a practical, well-rounded speaker with a convenient handle and wheels, aux input, and partial stereo playback from its two 5.25-inch woofers and two tweeters.

Buy the Electro-Voice Everse 12 if you need genuine PA-level loudness, an XLR input for mics or instruments, and can justify the much higher price for that capability.
