Short answer: it depends on how loud you listen. The Marshall Stockwell II may be the most natural sounding Marshall speaker, but it is not very loud. The B&O A1 goes deeper in the bass than the A1 2nd gen at $200 against the Marshall’s $229.99, though it is not quite as neutral as the 2nd gen.
One note: the B&O Beosound A1 is no longer sold new, but at #10 of 179 medium speakers by sound quality it still outranks most current models, so used is worth considering. The B&O Beosound A1’s replacement, the B&O Beosound A1 3rd gen, is rated 4.1/5 at $379.
Buy the B&O Beosound A1 at $200 for a medium speaker, or the Marshall Stockwell II at $229.99 for a large speaker instead.
Water resistance is not close: the B&O Beosound A1 is rated at IP67 (brief submersion), well ahead of the Marshall Stockwell II at IPX4 (splashing).
