Short answer: it depends on how loud you listen. The Marshall Stockwell 2 may be the most natural sounding Marshall speaker, but it is not very loud. The B&O A1 goes deeper in the bass than the A1 2nd gen at $200 against the Marshall’s $229.99, though it is not quite as neutral as the 2nd gen.

Water resistance is not close: the B&O Beosound A1 is rated at IP67 (brief submersion), well ahead of the Marshall Stockwell 2 at IPX4 (splashing).

Its 1.4 kg, claimed 20 hours (Manufacturer specified) battery life, IPX4 protection, aux input, up to 96dB and mono playback make it a practical option for its intended room or portable use. Measured bass extension of 44Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Bass is limited by its 44Hz specification. There is no companion app. No EQ adjustment.
