#123 Wisdom Audio SCS: $2,999 Discontinued eBay
Newer model: the Wisdom Audio SCS-2, ranked higher, estimated 3.7/5. See every Wisdom Audio SCS generation.
Pros: A slim dual woofer subwoofer that fits where ordinary boxes will not, with flexible vent placement for custom installs. It uses two 5-inch oval woofers in a transmission line design with a 400W RMS amplifier. Measured output averages 112.1dB from 40 to 80Hz and still reaches 100.7dB at 20Hz. The vent can be placed in several positions to suit different installations.
Cons: The cabinet is wide, about 940 x 572 x 178 mm, and it weighs 32.7 kg. Output of 100.7dB at 20Hz is modest for a large room, and it is expensive for its output. It is discontinued and replaced by the Wisdom Audio SCS-2, so it can only be bought used. It has XLR inputs only, with no RCA input.
