#65 Sunfire XTEQ12: $999 Discontinued eBay
Pros: A compact dual 12 inch sealed subwoofer with automatic EQ using an included microphone and a quick setup, now discontinued. It has dual 12 inch sealed drivers and a 3000W peak amplifier, rated 16 to 100Hz. The auto EQ uses test tones at 35Hz, 49Hz, 64Hz and 84Hz and the setup takes about a minute. Measured output averages 115.8dB from 40 to 80Hz and reaches 98.4dB at 20Hz. A built-in high-pass filter handles satellite speakers.
Cons: It weighs 27.2kg in a 330mm cube, which is dense and heavy for its size. It is expensive for a subwoofer that measured 115.8dB from 40 to 80Hz. Output at 20Hz is 98.4dB, so the deepest effects are limited. It is discontinued, so it must be bought used.
