#32 Reaction Audio PS-15X: $1,999 Discontinued eBay
Pros: A 15 inch rear ported subwoofer with strong upper bass punch for movie effects and music in a compact cube. Independent CEA-2010 testing records 102.8 dB at 20 Hz and 124.6 dB through 40-80 Hz. The ported, rear enclosure with 15” (381mm) driver delivers formidable upper-bass output for movie effects and music.
Cons: Deep-bass output is more limited than the strong 40-80 Hz result suggests, so it is not the right choice when the lowest movie effects are the priority. The 508.0H x 457.2W x 508.0D mm cabinet and 72 kg mass still require deliberate placement and calibration. Discontinued.
