Brand: Power Sound Audio

#12 Power Sound Audio (PSA) XV15-BASE: $1,595 Discontinued eBay

Pros: A rear ported 15 inch subwoofer with strong output for music and movies, now discontinued but worth buying used. The 15 inch ported driver delivers a manufacturer rated 119.1dB CEA-2010-A average, with 110.6dB at 20Hz. A 500W RMS, 1000W peak amplifier drives it, and the response is rated 21 to 200Hz. That output suits a large room.

Cons: The output figures come from the manufacturer rather than independent testing. At 34.0 kg and about 58 cm tall it needs a lot of space, and the rear port needs clearance behind it. The 20Hz output of 110.6dB is well below its 119.1dB midbass level. It is discontinued, so it has to be bought used.
