#117 Klipsch SW-311: $399 Discontinued eBay

Pros: A compact 10 inch subwoofer with dual passive radiators and built in automatic room correction, now discontinued. The 10 inch driver and two passive radiators are driven by a 500W RMS amplifier in a cabinet about 13 inches on each side. Measured output averages 112.4dB from 40 to 80Hz and reaches 115.2dB at 80Hz. The ARC II room correction uses 12 active filters to adapt the bass to your room.

Cons: Output falls to 100.9dB at 25Hz and 87.2dB at 20Hz, so the lowest bass is weak for a large room. At 16.8kg it is compact but still heavy for its size. It is discontinued, so you would buy used, and its rating is below 3.8.
