Pros: An affordable 12 inch ported subwoofer with room filling, clean bass and optional wireless connection. Its 300W RMS amplifier averages 119.7dB from 40 to 80Hz and reaches 97.9dB at 20Hz, which is strong output for a large room at this price. The response stays controlled at high volume. Wireless connection is possible with the optional WA-2 accessory.
Cons: Port chuffing is the known flaw: testers could not run it past about 60 to 70% volume before the noise became bothersome, a problem Klipsch fixed in the newer Klipsch RP-1200SW. Wireless needs the optional WA-2 accessory, and the MDF cabinet is large for a 12-inch sub.
