Pros: A sealed 10 inch subwoofer for small to medium rooms, with EQ presets and smart limiting, now discontinued. It has a 300W RMS amplifier and measured output averages about 114dB from 40 to 80Hz. It is rated 24 to 140Hz and still produces 99dB at 20Hz. Three preset EQ options and the iBX bass extension algorithm let it tune its response to the room, and smart limiting protects the driver at high volume.
Cons: Output falls to about 92dB at 16Hz, so the deepest movie effects are limited. The 24Hz rated extension is shallower than many larger subwoofers. KEF recommends it only for small to medium rooms, and it has less headroom than a 12 inch or larger sub. It is discontinued, so it can only be bought used.
