#181 Genelec 7060B: $3,495 Discontinued eBay
Newer model: the Genelec 7360A, ranked lower, estimated 3.3/5, released Apr 2016. See every Genelec 7000 and 7300 Subwoofers generation.
Pros: A ported 10 inch studio subwoofer with six channels of balanced bass management for surround mixing rooms. A ported 10-inch studio subwoofer that extends down to 19Hz, with six channels of balanced XLR bass management. Its Laminar Spiral Enclosure (LSE) minimizes port turbulence. An integrated Class A/B amplifier includes an active crossover and driver protection.
Cons: It is built for studio bass management, so it lacks RCA inputs and is awkward to use in a typical home theater without XLR cabling. Output is modest for the price, averaging 107.6dB from 40 to 80Hz and falling to 102.3dB at 40Hz. At 26kg and 527mm tall it is large for a 10-inch sub, and it is discontinued, so buying means finding one used or moving to its successor.
