#188 Chorus Speakers Vertigo XLS 07: $1,299 Discontinued eBay
Pros: A 12 inch ported subwoofer with a rigid cabinet and versatile controls, now discontinued. It pairs a 12 inch driver with a 200W RMS Class D amplifier and is rated 20 to 120Hz. Measured output averages 106.8dB from 40 to 80Hz and holds 89.7dB at 20Hz. The cabinet is a rigid 441mm cube.
Cons: It is expensive for a 200W, 12 inch subwoofer, and the 106.8dB average output from 40 to 80Hz is modest for a large room. Output drops to 89.7dB at 20Hz. At 29.7kg in a 441mm cube it is heavy and takes up a lot of space. It is discontinued, so it must be found used.
