Pros: The Ray is a compact bar that makes TV dialogue far clearer than built-in speakers and sounds tidy with music. All its drivers fire forward, so it works inside a TV cabinet. It joins a Sonos multiroom system and can grow later with a Sonos sub and rears.

Cons: It connects by optical only, so there is no HDMI control and no Atmos. The stereo stage is narrow and bass is modest without a sub. It has no microphones or Bluetooth.
