#5 Hisense AX5140Q: $399.99 Amazon $399.99 eBay
Pros: A full 5.1.4 system with a wireless sub and wireless rears that both have up-firing drivers, so movies get real overhead and behind-you effects. A dedicated center keeps dialogue clear, and it plays loud without straining. Its 5.1.2 predecessor earned a What Hi-Fi Award, and this model builds on it with more height channels.
Cons: There is no Wi-Fi, so music streaming relies on Bluetooth. Its HDMI input does not pass 4K at 120Hz for newer consoles. Automatic room tuning only works with a Hisense TV.
