Short answer: the Xdobo X8 Max, though neither ranks well in its class. It ranks #83 of 115 large speakers by sound quality, rated 2.9/5, at $105.99. The Zealot S67 ranks #113, rated 2.0/5, at $70.94, $35.05 cheaper, which does not close the gap in sound quality. Both are rated below 3.0/5 among the 115 large speakers, and the Tribit Stormbox Lava, ranked #3 at $119.99, is a better place to start if sound quality matters.
The Zealot S67 is the longer-running option. A budget waterproof speaker with a long rated battery, USB-C charging, microSD playback, and stereo pairing. It is rated for 20 hours of battery against 15 for the Xdobo X8 Max. The tradeoff: Sound quality is the catch.
The Xdobo X8 Max is the better-sounding pick. A feature packed waterproof boombox with a huge battery, power bank output, and enough volume for outdoor background music. The tradeoff: The voicing is bass-heavy with thin, boosted highs that can turn harsh, and reviews report distortion rather than clean dynamics when pushed hard.
Buy the Xdobo X8 Max. It is rated higher for sound quality, and the $35.05 saving on the Zealot S67 is not enough to make up the difference.
