W-King H330 vs W-King X20S

Last updated: September 29, 2026

Short answer: the W-King H330. Both are rated 3.8/5 for sound quality (#31 and #29 of 89 boombox speakers), and the W-King H330 costs $119.99 against $150.99 for the W-King X20S, so with nothing between them on sound quality, price settles it.

W-King H330 vs W-King X20S

Why pick the W-King H330: In Jagist’s side by side tests it was picked over the JBL Xtreme 5, came very close to the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 with cleaner vocals, and sounded clearer and more balanced than the Tronsmart Fiitune X30. The tradeoff: It isn’t very loud, and the W-King X20s plays louder with punchier bass.

Why pick the W-King X20S: Clearer and smoother than the larger W-King X20 at about half its size and weight, and in side by side tests it held its own against the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3, with nicer, more exposed mids and more volume. Watch for: Less bass and depth than the X20 and about 3dB quieter, and at maximum volume its mids and highs start to drown out the bass.

Buy the W-King H330. Both are rated the same for sound quality, and it costs $31 less than the W-King X20S.

W-King H330 ranking card

Pros: In Jagist’s side by side tests it was picked over the JBL Xtreme 5, came very close to the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3 with cleaner vocals, and sounded clearer and more balanced than the Tronsmart Fiitune X30. A 5.5 inch woofer, two 2.5 inch tweeters and a down firing passive radiator give it deep, full bass for its size. A 50Wh battery with 45W USB-C fast charging (about 1.8 hours), Bluetooth 5.4, stereo pairing, a bass boost button, aux, TF card and USB playback, and ambient lighting.

Cons: It isn’t very loud, and the W-King X20s plays louder with punchier bass. Below about 20% volume its DSP makes the bass cut in and out. The factory tuning is V shaped: Storytripper HD found the vocals thin and dry next to the fuller JBL Authentics 300, and the mids can sound recessed. No handle, no app, no water resistance rating, and W-King rates the battery at about 9 hours at 70% volume.

Pros: Clearer and smoother than the larger W-King X20 at about half its size and weight, and in side by side tests it held its own against the Harman Kardon Go + Play 3, with nicer, more exposed mids and more volume. 140W RMS (180W peak), IPX7, Bluetooth 5.4, a built-in microphone, TF card, USB and aux playback, FM radio, a carry handle and a shoulder strap.

Cons: Less bass and depth than the X20 and about 3dB quieter, and at maximum volume its mids and highs start to drown out the bass. With a flat EQ the bass is cut off, so it needs the bass boost. The JBL PartyBox Encore Essential 2 sounded better in a direct comparison. Sold direct from W-King in the US.
