Short answer: the Klipsch Groove, if you are buying new. The Soundcore Motion+ ranks higher than it (#3 vs #105 of 157 medium speakers, 4.4/5 vs 2.8/5) but is discontinued, so only consider it used; the Klipsch Groove is still sold new at $9.
The Soundcore Motion+ is the better-sounding, longer-running pick. The previous best sounding in class, still a great speaker with separate tweeters, more bass at full volume and better off-axis treble frequency response than the Uboom L. It is rated for 12 hours of battery against 8 for the Klipsch Groove. It is rated IPX7 against IPX4 for the Klipsch Groove. It supports aptX Bluetooth, which the Klipsch Groove lacks. The catch: Not quite as neutral or detailed as the Uboom L.
The Klipsch Groove is the lighter pick. Pretty balanced sound in a compact, splash-resistant form factor. At 1.7 lbs (770 g) it weighs noticeably less than the Soundcore Motion+ at 2.3 lbs (1.05 kg). Watch for: Bass doesn’t go as deep as class leaders.
Buy the Klipsch Groove new; the Soundcore Motion+ is no longer sold new, so it only makes sense as a used find.

The Two Speakers In Full
Soundcore Motion+: $79.99 used Discontinued Amazon eBay
Newer model: the Soundcore Motion 300, ranked higher, rated 4.5/5.
Pros: The previous best sounding in class, still a great speaker with separate tweeters, more bass at full volume and better off-axis treble frequency response than the Uboom L. Just okay with the default EQ, I highly recommend using this EQ setting from r/kai7895 to get it more neutral. To achieve the absolute best sound you’ll need the Wavelet app (Android only) and set the provided Wavelet EQ in there too. Turn off the wavelet EQ for outdoor use. An alternative is Oluv’s EQ which only needs the Soundcore app EQ. Measured bass extension of 54Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Not quite as neutral or detailed as the Uboom L. Without the above EQ, this speaker will rank around #25 in the rankings. Discontinued.

Klipsch Groove: 9.00 Amazon eBay
Pros: Pretty balanced sound in a compact, splash-resistant form factor. IPX4 water resistance and ~8 hour battery life make it durable for outdoor and poolside use. 3-inch high excursion full-range driver paired with dual side-firing passive radiators.
Cons: Not stereo. Bass doesn’t go as deep as class leaders. Distortion sets in at higher output levels. Older Bluetooth 4.0 architecture without app EQ.
