The Soundcore Boom 2 is the better-sounding, deeper-bass choice. Pretty deep bass for the size. Its bass reaches about 47Hz before falling 10dB, against 55Hz for the Ultimate Ears Epicboom. It is rated for 24 hours of battery against 17 for the Ultimate Ears Epicboom. It links with other speakers (PartyCast 2.0 up to 100 speakers), which the Ultimate Ears Epicboom cannot. Buy the Soundcore Boom 2. It is rated higher for sound quality than the Ultimate Ears Epicboom and costs less, which makes it the one to get unless you need something the other one does better.

Pros: Pretty deep bass for the size. Cool lights in the side passive radiators. For the best sound quality use Oluv’s EQ or Alan Ross’s EQ. With the stock tuning, this speaker would rank around #24, due to the boosted bass and rising treble. Measured bass extension of 47Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Only a single midrange driver, so you only get stereo for the tweeters. Sound processing issues with inconsistent bass notes that disappear at low levels like the Soundcore Boom and Soundcore Boost, not great for listening at low levels. Quite bass heavy with BassUp turned on, which is best left off. A little bit of a bright tuning in the treble, about +5db.

Pros: 17 hour battery with USB-C charging (first UE portable with USB-C). IP67 rating, floats in water. Made mostly from recycled fabric and plastic. Large best-sounding UE portable that still feels portable. 180ft Bluetooth range. Measured bass extension of ~55Hz (-10dB).
Cons: Not very deep bass for the size. Gets distorted at around 70-80% with bass thuds.
